Assistant Coach Volleyball

Within the framework of Pfeiffer University's mission of educating the whole person, the Assistant Volleyball Coach will fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all facets of the program .

This is a full-time, 10-month position and requires nights, weekends and long periods of standing and moving equipment.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist with the coaching and administration of an NCAA Division Ill volleyball program.
• Assist with designing and implementing training programs for student-athletes; monitor academic success, evaluation and recruiting of prospective student-athletes.
• Assist with team travel and budget management; assisting with game management and other duties that may be assigned by the athletic department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Volleyball Coach.
• Supervise Work Study students.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Demonstrated collegiate volleyball and/or coaching experience preferred.
• Understanding of volleyball coaching philosophies, training strategies, practice planning and recruiting at the NCAA level is preferred.
• Coaching background or experience in collegiate coaching is preferred.
• Possess strong communication skills.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
