The Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach shall aid in the growth and development of both golf programs in which he or she is assigned by assisting with planning and directing the activities of the team.

In keeping with this mission, the role of the Men’s and Women’s Golf Assistant Coach is to support a quality varsity program which will challenge and develop the physical, mental and personal abilities of Division III student-athletes.
Full-time, 10 month position
- Assist in all aspects of coaching golf including thorough knowledge of the sport, coaching strategies and player development.
- Assist in recruitment of student-athletes on the domestic and international levels. This position supports the golf programs at Pfeiffer University with the recruitment of potential high school and community college student athletes.
- Adhere to NCAA Division III, USA South Conference office and department rules and regulations.
- Work within the framework of the Department of Athletics administration and coaches.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, administration, staff and alumni.
- Staff member is responsible for the monitoring an institutional facility for the purposes of safety and facility security. Coach supervision is to prevent any activity that is dangerous to a student-athlete or other students. This does not allow the supervisor to direct or provide instruction to student-athletes while supervising.
- The assistant coach will be asked to perform daily operations work, coaching, and recruiting under the direction of the Head Coach.
- Office work will require strong organizational skills and writing ability.
- For practices, the Assistant Coach will be in charge of a practice plan requirement in accordance with the Head Coach and will assist in planning, preparing for, and executing practice plans.
- Assisting with Athletic Department with Game Management responsibilities that include game day preparation and breakdown, game supervision and supervision of work study/game day staff.
- Supervision of team academic study hall and work study students.
- The Assistant will travel with the team, prepare team travel itineraries, and assist with other aspects of travel (including driving).
