Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a per diem Allergist/Immunologist to join the Department of Medicine, Allergist at NYC Health + Hospitals’/Kings County. The Hospitals are part of NYC Health + Hospitals which is the nation’s largest public health system. King County is a 639-bed, Level I Trauma Center located in Brooklyn. In 1955, Kings County surgeons performed the first open-heart surgery in New York State. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards. If desired all Medicine Faculty Members have SUNY Downstate Health Sciences for academic appointments.
This position will come with a faculty appointment as a clinician-educator at the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences school of Medicine, and it involves supervision and teaching of fellows and residents.

The Attending Physician, under the general direction of the Chief of Service or designee, is responsible for the provision of professional general or specialty medical work of ordinary difficulty. In collaboration with internal stakeholders, the Attending Physician is responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery, and management of comprehensive healthcare services. The Physician is also immediately responsible for the supervision of advanced practice providers, technicians, and other providers; and generally, coordinates a multispecialty team.
- Functions independently to complete history and physical data on patients, performs complete physical exams, and interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient needs.
- Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
