Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Pathologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. - Review and sign out surgical pathology biopsies, excision, and resection cases
- Review and sign out cytopathology cases
- Prioritize malignant cases and submit all first-time malignant cases for daily intradepartmental consensus conference for peer review and concordance
- Complete cases in the required turnaround time (TAT) at Kings County Hospital
- Participate in internal/external quality assurance, performance improvement activities and programs, and departmental meetings, and facility-wide training as needed
- Involve in processing of surgical pathology service management and quality improvement
- Instruct residents on service of general surgical pathology and cytopathology
- Participate in other clinical activities as requested by service director
