Description

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY), a tax-exempt organization affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals, is adding a Senior Payroll Specialist to the Payroll Department.  PAGNY is one of the largest physician groups in New York State and directly employs nearly 4,000 physicians and allied health professionals who serve seven of New York City’s public hospitals, numerous public health community-based practices, and the city’s Correctional Health Service.

Opportunity Details:

  • Organizes, audits and transmits bi-weekly payroll
  • Reviews Time card and answers employees’ inquiries
  • Process employees Reimbursements as needed
  • Process union dues/union pension reports
  • Ensures payroll laws, compliance and confidentiality and union requirements are adhered to
  • Maintains an accurate and timely schedule for reporting and processing of payroll data
  • Assists with any new setup for Paycom
  • Assists in training and compliance of the staff in the Payroll Department
  • Supports and interacts with Operations and HR at all the affiliates
  • Develops reports requested by the affiliates
  • Reviews cross-departmental impacts and reconciles data sharing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 2 Years of experience in various payroll operations (Time card review, pay code audit, PTO accrual settings, retroactive pay calculations for salary increases, etc.)

  • Advanced knowledge of Paycom highly preferred and its associated modules

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (V look-ups & Pivot Tables)

  • Knowledge of Payroll laws, confidentiality and compliance requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
