The TK Lead plays a key role in upholding the mission of Shepherd Kids by leading the efforts in seeing that all TK kids at Shepherd (and their families) are connected with engaging environments, purposeful programming, and meaningful relationships.
Responsibilities include overseeing the recruitment, training, and care of volunteer leaders, implementing age-appropriate curriculum and programming in partnership with the Elementary Kids Manager, and ensure adherence to Shepherd Kids policies and procedures. This role requires a heart for ministry, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to leadership.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years working in early childhood or elementary education
- 3-5 years of significant involvement in church
- Classroom management experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong understanding of the Gospel
- Theological background is a plus
This is a non-exempt, part-time (15 hours per week) position.
Must be available on:
- Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Saturday: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
