The following position is open with the Fort Sill Apache Gaming Commission:
Position: Gaming Commissioner #2
Salary: $1000 stipend per month
Job Description: Attend Commission meetings no less than once every 2 months to review gaming operation(s) policies and procedures (SICS), the Fort Sill Apache Tribal Ordinance, the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), State of Oklahoma Compact regulations and The Fort Sill Apache Gaming Commission (FSAGC) Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS) to protect the assets and integrity of the Fort Sill Apache Tribe (FSAT) and ensure the tribal gaming operation(s) are in compliance. Review and evaluate new gaming license applications and existing gaming licenses for suitability. Must attend, at least annually, training classes on gaming regulatory issues. Currently open is the Commissioner position for a person who is a member of the FSAT. Must have computer skills for Microsoft 365, and email. Commissioners shall be responsible for reviewing documents, writing documents, and making presentations. This is a three (3) year term position. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass a drug test and background check to obtain a gaming license.
Commissioners may hold other Tribal positions and may engage in business and gamble in any gaming operation, provided however, that they may not be employed in or own any interest in or gamble in a gaming operation authorized by this Ordinance. Additionally, immediate family members of Commissioners may not own any interest in or gamble in a gaming operation authorized by this Ordinance.
