We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Placement Specialist based out of our New York City office to join our team. As a Placement Specialist, you will play a vital role in guiding host families through the process of searching, interviewing and matching with a compatible au pair. You will be the primary point of contact for host families during the matching process, engaging with them via phone, email, text and chat. You will work individually and as part of a team to grow Au Pair USA’s business while improving the customer matching experience.
What You'll Do:
- Engage with host families through phone, email, text, and chat to learn about their childcare needs and guide them through the process of matching with an au pair.
- Use a consultative sales approach to help the family in understanding the program and finding a compatible match.
- Develop and maintain familiarity with the available au pairs and proactively recommend au pairs to the families in your pipeline
- Use your time efficiently to manage the host families in your pipeline and tailor your support to their individual needs.
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual matching goals
- Collaborate with Local Coordinators to provide the best possible service to their matching host families
- Maintain documentation of customer contacts and activities
- Be willing to work outside of normal business hours to accommodate matching families as needed
Our ideal Placement Specialist will have the following skills & experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a sales position or other influencer role
- Ability to work with a wide range of personality types with tact and diplomacy
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to muti-task daily
- Tech savvy and comfortable working in multiple systems (Hubspot, Slack, Zoom, Google, InterExchange proprietary systems)
- A creative problem solver who never stops looking for solutions
- Willingness to go above and beyond to help a host family successfully match
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Have a team-player mindset and willingness to collaborate with colleagues, provide coverage for co-workers when needed and take on new responsibilities and projects
When & Where you'll work:
- New York City - hybrid work with at least 2 days per week in our Manhattan office
- Monday to Friday; 9:30-5:30 pm EST, option for flexible start and end times
- 35-hour workweek
- Compensation Range: $60-65k per year, annualized, depending on experience
