Description

Position Summary: Performs maintenance duties at various agency properties across the region. Ensures quality of work and timeliness of completion for maintenance projects.

Position Description:

  • Ensures the overall maintenance of multiple Agency facilities; work is completed timely and with quality
  • Performs primarily interior and exterior building maintenance and repair works such as basic plumbing and electrical, carpentry, painting, wall repair and replacing doors/parts
  • Picks up supplies and equipment for facilities
  • Works with external vendors and contractors as needed
  • Monitors work to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Moves furniture and equipment as necessary
  • Maintains accurate documentation of work orders through agency system
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and plans
  • Ability to plan material and supply needs
  • Knowledge of building maintenance techniques and tools involved in the upkeep of buildings, fixtures and structures
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and preventive/general maintenance
  • Driving

Job Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or High School Equivalency
  • 1-3 years of experience

Essential Functions/Physical Demands:

  • Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Frequent standing and walking. Infrequent sitting.
  • Gross Mobility: Frequent climbing or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching and handling.
  • May require ability to walk up to 4 flights of stairs consecutively, depending on location.
  • Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity and visual accommodation. Occasional talking.
