Description

Position Overview: Green Lake Conference Center (GLCC) is seeking a dedicated Laundry Services Team Member to support our commitment to providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests. This role is essential in ensuring that all laundry-related services are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Laundry Services Team Members will process, clean, and organize linens and other laundry items to meet the needs of housekeepers and guests while maintaining a well-stocked inventory.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laundry Processing: Clean, fold, and process all laundry in a consistent and uniform manner to maintain the necessary supply of bed linens, towels, and other items for housekeeping and guests.
  • Equipment Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance needs for laundry equipment to ensure reliable operation and to minimize downtime.
  • Work Area Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-organized laundry area to enhance workflow efficiency and ensure easy access to supplies.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with regular inventory processes, ensuring accurate documentation and availability of needed supplies and well-maintained linens for guest accommodations.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals and operating equipment, ensuring a safe environment for employees and guests.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to complete tasks efficiently and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Secondary Duties: Provide backup support for housekeeping functions when work volume dictates.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the overall operations of the Housing Services department and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Alignment with GLCC’s mission and values
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor, standing or sitting, for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work efficiently, and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Dependable, responsible, and reliable with a cooperative attitude
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Prior laundry or housekeeping experience strongly preferred but not required.

 

Schedule & Commitment:

  • Part-time position, with flexible scheduling based on organizational needs.
  • Typical work hours are flexible between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Sunday–Saturday, schedule to be determined based on availability and organizational need.

 

Key Working Relationships

  • The Laundry Services Team Member will collaborate with all Housing Services team members and other department staff members, including department directors, volunteers, work groups, and guests.
