Automotive Service Manager **

Full Job Description

As an Automotive Service Manager, you will lead all aspects of everyday store and shop operations including the efficient, productive, and safe operation of our service bays. The Automotive Service Manager position is a great way to start your career at Bobby & Steve’s Auto World. Starting day 1 you will begin a comprehensive Management training program covering all aspects of your new role. As an Automotive Store Manager for Bobby & Steve’s Auto World, you will be an essential team member, responsible for building lasting relationships with our Guests. More importantly, you will be part of a team, working together to deliver 5 Star Guest experiences, while using your professional skills to take care of people, their cars and ensure our guests have safe, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Be responsible for the profitability of the service department through the sale of labor and parts and managing departmental expenses to reflect monthly profit.
• Develop department objectives, budgets, and systems and initiate the actions needed to achieve these targets.
• Set a good example of how customers should be treated in the department by proper greetings, friendliness, sincere interest, and expeditious handling of complaints.
• Maintain a customer relations program that assures prompt repairs of high quality through providing a customer record and follow-up system, resolving customer complaints, and building loyal clientele for Bobby & Steve’s Auto World.
• Initiate and control service the use of digital vehicle inspections.
• Manage solicitation of new business by telephone, mail, and personal contact of selected former customers and local fleets or businesses on a regular basis.
• Establish job assignments with related functions and train employees to perform those functions.
• Recruit, interview, hire, coach or dismiss personnel.

What You Bring:

• At least 5 years of experience in an automotive service department.
• Exceptional customer service and customer relationship building skills.
• Proven follow-up and organizational skills.
• The ability to read, analyze and interpret written information and instructions.
• Good business acumen.
• Tire knowledge is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Being dependable and reliable for the position
Being on your feet most of the workday (standing, walking, bending, coordinating parts, etc.)
Occasionally lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs.
Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000 to $100,000 per year plus other income incentives
