GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Loan Officer, with an emphasis on Ag Lending, is responsible for discussing customer needs, recommending the best loan products, helping customers put together a complete loan package and working with the underwriting team throughout the loan process.

- Interviews loan applicants to determine their needs and provide recommendation for the right credit products to help meet their goals.
- Maintain an active knowledge base of organization’s credit products and qualification requirements for applicants.
- Manage loan portfolio in accordance with credit policy including but not limited to renewals, modifications, updated credit analysis, and portfolio monitoring.
- Utilize professional judgement to determine which potential borrowers represent good risk opportunities for the organization.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with customers, bank staff, local professionals, centers of influence, and community organizations.
- Participate in community and professional organizations and events.
- Uses experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Identify and escalate transactions or information related to suspicious activity to the BSA department. Perform duties according to established bank policies and procedures to comply with bank controls.
