Graduate Assistant-Cumberland Univ. Esports
This a graduate coach role with the Cumberland Esports teams starting January 1st, 2023 (Spring Semester). You will work as a graduate assistant coach while earning your graduate degree. This position gives you the opportunity to develop skills in coaching, training, organization, strategic planning, scheduling, and leadership while gaining the hands-on experience of coaching and working with Esport student-athletes on the collegiate level.
This is a great opportunity for individuals that love Esports, to earn a graduate degree and gain leadership experience that will help further their career. Graduate Assistant will earn free tuition, housing, and meal plan. This position will require the GA to be on campus. This is not a remote position.
Duties: Hold the responsibilities of an Esports coach including training, disciplining, and motivating players. Responsible for taking Esports players and teams in tournament events throughout the season. Assist in player recruitment. Maintain player and team records. Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements: must have a bachelor’s degree; enroll in graduate school full-time at Cumberland University (full-time is minimum of 6 hours); maintain minimum GPA of 3.0 on all graduate course work; have experience and true interest in the field of Esports; must be responsible, dependable, and goal oriented.
