Academic Analytics is seeking a skilled ETL (SQL) Developer to design, implement, and optimize ETL processes that power our data-driven insights for the academic research community. In this role, you will develop and maintain robust SQL-based data pipelines, integrating data from diverse sources into our systems with high accuracy and efficiency.
We are looking for a highly analytical professional with advanced SQL expertise, a strong understanding of database structures, and experience working with large datasets. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, and data engineers to ensure seamless data processing and transformation. Candidates need to live and work on the east coast of the USA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL-based ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into Academic Analytics systems.
- Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into efficient data workflows.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database processes to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Ensure data integrity, optimize SQL queries, and manage database performance, including index maintenance and query tuning.
- Investigate and resolve data issues within SQL/ETL pipelines, proactively identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SQL scripts, ETL processes, and database structures.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to improve data models and reporting capabilities.
This role is eligible for the company discretionary bonus plan. Our benefits package consists of Medical PPO or High Deductible Plan, Dental and Vision offered through BCBS. We also accrue 10 hours a month of PTO time (15 days per full year), 14 paid holidays, 401K with match as well as a profit sharing plan.
