Role Summary:
As an Account Manager, you will play a critical role in managing client relationships, ensuring value realization, and driving account expansion. You will serve as a strategic advisor to client universities, helping them maximize the impact of Academic Analytics solutions. 

Your success will be measured by client retention, expansion of relationships within institutions, and the identification and pursuit of growth opportunities in collaboration with the sales team.

To be considered for this position, you must be eligible to work in the USA as well as live in the Mid-west or East Coast of the USA.

 


Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver Value to Clients

  • Cultivate trust-based relationships with client personnel through proactive engagement and strategic advising.
  • Conduct new client onboarding meetings to define expectations, establish implementation plans, and set measurable milestones.
  • Lead client training and education sessions via video conferences and in-person visits to ensure adoption and maximize product utilization.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of client objectives and challenges to offer tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including data analysts, to address client-specific needs and deliver customized insights.

2. Expand Relationships and Secure Renewals

  • Develop and maintain multi-threaded relationships across universities, engaging with leadership, faculty, and administrators.
  • Proactively identify and address client concerns to reinforce the long-term value of Academic Analytics solutions.
  • Strategically manage the renewal process, leveraging internal resources and aligning with client priorities.
  • Utilize mutual action plans and direct engagement with decision-makers to secure contract renewals.

3. Identify and Secure Growth Opportunities

  • Engage with institutional leaders to uncover strategic goals and potential areas for collaboration.
  • Develop a deep understanding of university structures, identifying key stakeholders and expansion opportunities.
  • Work closely with the sales team to translate client needs into upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Support business development efforts by gathering case studies and success stories to demonstrate impact.

This role is eligible for the company discretionary bonus plan.  Our benefits package consists of Medical PPO or High-Deductible Plan, Dental and Vision offered through BCBS. We also accrue 10 hours a month of PTO time (15 days per full year), 14 paid holidays, 401K with match as well as a profit-sharing plan.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • 2-3 years in a sales-focused account management role, preferably in higher educational technology
  • Ability to think analytically and communicate with both data-savvy and non-data-savvy audiences 
  • Experience working with higher education institutions or in the EdTech sector preferred
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly adaptable and proactive in a remote work setting.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
