Education and Skills
- College degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Two years in the nonprofit sector preferred.
- Must have exceptional customer service skills; excellent organizational and communication skills – written and verbal; the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
- Excellent technology skills including all MS Office applications, CRM / database applications, and virtual meeting tools as well as the ability to quickly learn and master grantmaking application and several internet-based program interfaces through which regional work is accomplished.
- Excellent presentation skills and proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of or desire to learn and understand the breadth services offered by community foundations.
- Basic knowledge of planned giving and other vehicles through which donors can give to an organization.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Other Requirements
- This position functions independently in a regional office and hybrid environment and requires regular local and regional travel. Statewide travel is required several times per year, including some overnight stays. Must be available for occasional evening and/or weekend work hours.
Major Accountabilities
- Key measures of success will be donor retention, opportunity pipeline growth, and increased grant making and collaborative funding to the region.
- Develop and strengthen the assigned nonprofit fund portfolio and relationships with nonprofit leaders and board members.
- Work effectively as part of an integrated Regional Team to meet organizational goals as outlined in the ACF Strategic Plan.
- Increase awareness of the Community Foundation and enhance its profile as a key component of the community.
- Expand grant making in the region.
