San Diego Humane Society is hiring a Resource Manager for our Humane Law Enforcement team!

In this key role, you’ll be responsible for the resources and technology being utilized by the HLE department. Under general direction from the Vice President and Chief of HLE, you’ll directly supervise project activity and provide administrative oversight to support additional department responsibilities.

What you’ll do:
- Manages Humane Law Enforcement technology including body worn cameras, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, Edify Contact Center system, and fleet technology.
- Oversees all radio communications equipment (base stations, portable radios and mobile radios) to include recommending acquisition/budgeting, issuing and tracking equipment in asset management system, coordinating with vendors for installation and repair, and provide training as needed to personnel.
- Provides training, asset tracking and tier one support for Axon body worn camera systems. Partners with vendor and/or SDHS IT for escalated issues regarding body worn cameras.
- Act as a first point-of-contact with outside vendors related to technology, radio/communications related equipment, and computer software for the efficient operation of the Communications Center.
- Responsible to become proficient with Edify Contact Center system utilized by Dispatch and officers to provide software administration support, frontline issue resolution and training and to identify reporting or process improvement opportunities.
- Participates in any Emergency Response effort to include readying the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for use and ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly deployed.
- Oversees the barking dog complaint process as per SDHS city contracts. Works with designated campus representative to ensure the organization remains caught up on barking dog complaints from members of our community.
- Works collaboratively with Fleet Manager by being the point of contact with the vendor for HLE fleet management. Ensures HLE vehicles are promptly repaired and maintained, tracks maintenance and recall efforts, and addresses on-going vehicle maintenance issues for a course of action decision.
What we’re looking for:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field.
- Must have a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in resource or project management within business operations required, supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in animal control, law enforcement, or criminal justice organization preferred.
- Experience using mobile radio/telephone to communicate and experience in customer service strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be approved by SDHS insurance carrier to drive a company or personal vehicle for work purposes. Must be comfortable driving a variety of vehicles, including large trucks and vans.
Location: Based at our San Diego Campus with expected travel between campuses and in the field.
Pay: Starting range is between $66,560 – $74,880 per year.
The listed hiring range for this position depicts the target range of pay rates for candidates. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. Compensation for internal candidates may increase beyond the listed range based on performance over time. For all candidates, the actual starting pay rate is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to your years of related education and experience, internal pay equity, and position location.
