Fieldpiece is hiring a Director of Strategic Accounts to build a strategic account program that strengthens our relationships with key contractors, educational institutions, and trade organizations.  Reporting to the VP of Commercial, you’ll design, implement, test and refine the program to ensure a successful deployment that achieves revenue and partnership goals.

 

The ideal candidate has experience in building and deploying a strategic account program for a product company with a strong distribution network.  You’re creative with excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to iterate and adapt.  This position is 100% remote (must live in the US) and will require 50-75% travel in the first year.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic accounts program to expand and enhance relationships with large HVACR contractors and/or PE firms, educational institutions and trade organizations. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, fostering trust and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and partnership agreements that benefit both Fieldpiece Instruments and its partners.
  • Establish clear KPIs and metrics to measure the success of strategic account initiatives.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding of new strategic accounts and continuous improvement of account management programs and processes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to future strategic account managers and cross-functional teams working on strategic accounts.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience – preferably in tools, electronics, or other consumer products.
  • Proven experience in building and managing successful strategic account programs and achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills to share new concepts, ideas, and solutions.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights to drive decision-making.
  • Experience in the HVACR industry or with tools and instruments for technical trades is a big plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a big plus.
