Description

The Center for Environment and Society (CES) seeks a paid fall intern to assist CES's Communication & Events Manager. Responsibilities will vary from week to week but will include various tasks to support the communications strategy of CES, such as:

  • Generate engaging content such as posts, graphics, event flyers, photos, and videos and/or reels for different social media platforms.
  • Monitor and engage on social media channels in mentions, comments, and messages, and respond.
  • Use social media management tools to schedule and publish posts.
  • Analyze social media metrics such as effectiveness of content, increase of followers, audience demographics, etc.
  • Stay updated on current events and news to capitalize on timely opportunities for engaging content.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • Experience with creating graphics in Canva.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.

Additional Info

  • Intern will be paid $15/hour with approximately 10 hours per week. Schedule is flexible based on student availability.
  • This internship is sponsored by the Center for Environment and Society. 
  • This internship will be hybrid. Most work can be done virtually, however, in-person weekly meetings and the occasional event(s) at Semans-Griswold Environmental Hall or Main Campus will be required.
