Denver Christian School is now accepting applications for this opening. The start date for this position would be August 1, 2025. This is a K-8 full-time position (following DC's school calendar).

Salary range for this position is $45,166.00 to $60,000.00+ (based on full time). Annual salary compensation will be matched with the candidate's level of experience and education.

Position Summary: Teachers at Denver Christian School deliver academic excellence within the context of a biblical worldview. They are responsible for administering a well-rounded, comprehensive, instructional program for students in the areas of education assigned by the appropriate Supervisor. This position is responsible for 

Professional Responsibilities: In addition to the Employee Handbook and the Faculty Procedures Handbook, Teachers:

  • Teach specific classroom/subject assignment as determined by the division level supervisor.
  • Actively integrate faith and learning.
  • Challenge high ability students in small group settings.
  • Bring a professional, working knowledge to adjust/accommodate curriculum for high ability/achieving students.
  • Work with classroom teachers to actively meet the needs of high ability/achieving students.
  • Utilize DCS’s Learning Management System (FACTS for K-5, and Canvas for 6-12) to communicate student progress with parents and students.
  • Maintain Colorado state teaching credentials (preferred) or other like-credentials (GT certification) acceptable.
  • Actively seek to improve performance through professional development, continuing education, and life-long learning opportunities.
  • Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Demonstrate successful classroom/small group management and organizational skills
  • Comply with additional duties as assigned by the Principal and/or outlined in the Faculty Procedures Handbook.

Qualifications

  • A state/national teaching certificate (Colorado preferred)
  • A bachelor's degree in the subject area with an education degree
  • An advanced degree (master's/doctorate) in the subject area is preferred.
