Pre/Post Cath Lab RN - Cardiac Cath Lab - FT 0.9 (72 hrs biweekly)

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual patient care. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Job Functions:

1. Coordinates all aspects of patient care.
2. Post procedure care of cardiac catheterization / PCI, electrophysiology, vascular, and interventional radiology patients.
3. Assists Physician with TEE, CV, and Tilt Table Study.
4. Provides care to patient on intra-aortic balloon pump / Impella.
5. Provides care to patient on EKOS.
6. Coordinate’s patient care for all invasive procedures.
7. Provides patient recovery and education after general and invasive procedures.
8. Coordinate’s arrival times and gives detailed instructions to patient or family.
9. Removes sheath while maintaining hemostasis.
10. Maintains clinical competency.
11. Maintains compliance in RQI.
12. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

• Current licensure in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS within one year of hire required.

• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of professional and ancillary personnel; to present a positive attitude and a professional appearance.

Compensation Details:  Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
