Minimum Education/Experience Required:
- Associate’s Degree in a health-related field required; Will consider equivalent experience in lieu of education on case-by-case basis.
- Experience in prescribing and implementing exercise programs required.
- Experience working with special patient populations such as diabetic, oncology, bariatric, and post-cardiac rehab preferred.
- BLS certification required – will be obtained during Hospital Orientation.
- Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor, Health Coach, and/or other specialty exercise or fitness certifications preferred.
Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:
- Must have ability to use Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Must have interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following hospital policies.
- Ability to be sensitive to the feelings of others.
- Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities, age groups and individuals.
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
- Proficient in taking blood pressure and demonstrates understanding in use of Pulse Oximeter and Heart Rate monitor.
Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
