Floor Care Specialist - Environmental Care - FT 1.0 (80 hrs biweekly)

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Floor Care Specialist is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and beautification of the floors.  Assists with other housekeeping duties. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Job Functions:

1. Strips, waxes, and buffs floors.
2. Shampoo carpets.
3. Uses equipment as directed.
4. Knowledge of how to clean patient rooms after discharge as directed.
5. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent training and/or experience required.
• Prior floor care experience preferred.

Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:

• Ability to follow instructions, read, and write.
• Know the proper procedures for cleaning a patient room.

Compensation Details:  Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
