Minimum Education/Experience Required:
- Current licensure in the State of Ohio or multi-state license from state of residence required.
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ASLS and PALS preferred upon hire but will consider experience and require all certifications within 1 year of employment.
- Two years of CVICU with open heart experience required and two to five years of advanced CVICU experience preferred.
- Maintains compliance in RQI required.
Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:
- Ability to work in a dynamic and intense environment that requires quick thinking and excellent analytical and assessment skills.
- Strong background knowledge on hemodynamics, arrhythmia management, pathophysiology, and pharmacology.
- Stroke Education is required during orientation which may include, but not limited to, access to stroke policies, completion of on-line stroke module education, NIHSS, ASLS & T-PA administration.
- 8 hours or more of Cardiothoracic Surgery specific education required annually.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent technical skills such as intravenous management and ventilator care.
- Verbal, clerical, numerical, and manual dexterity, color vision and near visual acuity, proper lifting techniques and body mechanics.
Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
