Description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Onboarding and Technical Specialist is responsible for coordinating access for new hires and transfers, ensuring required accreditation documents are completed, and assists the Human Resources Information Systems Specialist with various tasks.   The Onboarding and Technical Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration for our new hires and transfers within our organization. The Onboarding and Technical Specialist will work collaboratively with HR Team members and other departments to ensure complex technical needs are addressed timely and effectively. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and always exercises strict confidentiality.

 

Job Functions:

  1. Coordinate access and permissions for new hires and transfers, including system access, building entry, and equipment allocation.
  2. Verifies and ensures completion of all required accreditation documents, certifications, and compliance-related paperwork.
  3. Provides technical assistance and guidance to new employees regarding software systems, tools, and technology resources.
  4. Collaborates with the HRIS Specialist to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our HR Systems.
  5. Manages goal system(s) by granting access, training leaders, creating goals within the tracking system and entering data for results.
  6. Assists with various HR tasks such as data entry, file management, and report generation as needed.
  7. Serves as a point of contact for new employees, addressing inquiries and providing support to facilitate a smooth onboarding and General Hospital Orientation (GHO) experience.
  8. Stays updated on industry trends, best practices, and compliance regulations related to onboarding processes and technical support.
  9. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, Information Systems, appropriately related field, or 6+ years of relevant experience required
  •  Prior experience in onboarding employees and technical support preferred.
  •  PHR or SPHR preferred.

 

Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and report writing skills required.
  •  Project Management training a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills. 
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals, to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions, and to find solutions for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.

 

Compensation Details:  Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
