Description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Store Room Clerk is responsible for the delivery of supplies and equipment throughout the Health System; checks incoming shipments for completeness and stores freight in approved locations. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Job Functions:

  1. Fills Pyxis and Department Requisitions and delivers supplies throughout the hospital
  2. Checks incoming freight for completeness and delivers to appropriate storage areas.
  3. Responsible for the correct on hand balance of physical inventory in the storeroom.
  4. Safely operates all department equipment.
  5. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write do math as generally demonstrated by a high school diploma or GED.

Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:

  • Basic numerical skills, ability to follow instructions, computer literacy, excellent verbal and communication skills and good interpersonal skills.

Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
