Description

The Warehouse Operator will be responsible to assist with receipt, administration, storage, and distribution of raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, hazardous waste, supplies and packages.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Checks in freight and verifies against packing slip information.
  • Receives freight against purchase orders in the ERP system.
  • Ensures materials are put away or delivered to the proper areas.
  • Utilizes drum carts, hand trucks, forklifts and other handling equipment to move and/or weigh materials and products.
  • Prepares and documents orders for Production and R&D.
  • Prepares finished goods for shipment.
  • Prepares, receives and delivers FedEx packages.
  • Handles and stores controlled substances.
  • Transports raw materials and finished goods between warehouses.
  • Performs transactions in the ERP system to issue orders and create labels for Production and R&D orders.
  • Assists with cycle counting and physical inventory.
  • Assist with monitoring the hazardous waste accumulation areas and coordinating shipments of hazardous waste and materials.
  • Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes.
  • Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education
    • High school diploma (GED)

 

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Able to deal with employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/ or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, JD Edwards or other inventory database.
  • Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record.
  • FDA, cGMPs, and SOPs related to job requirements.
  • Detail oriented and Flexibility to perform varied tasks

 

  • Experience
    • One (1) to three (3) years warehouse experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Pharmaceutical experience a plus.
    • Must have forklift experience.
