JOB SUMMARY:  Treasury Management (TM) Specialist will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and developing new business primarily with prospects, as well as existing clients, in all of the markets served by First Bank & Trust Co. The position is required to consistently meet balance, Treasury Services revenue, and profit budgets.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with Treasury Management Officer, Banking Center Managers, and Lenders to develop new business prospects while maintaining a high level of service with existing TM Clients.
  • Track on-boarding of new and existing Treasury customers and create a calling plan along with a follow-up plan.
  • Be a product knowledge expert and assist the TM Department and clients with enrollment and onboarding of all TM services including:  ACH, Remote Deposit Capture, Wires, Positive Pay, Dynamic Sweeps, Account Analysis, Lockbox, Credit Cards, Merchant Services and The Promontory Network’s ICS and CDARs programs.
  • Process applications, and agreements for TM services mentioned above including verification of account owners and system setup.
  • Coordination of interdepartmental task that come along with TM services.
  • Coordinate & Monitor to completion client issues with internal supporting departments or TM vendor technical support and follow-up as required.
  • Maintain and process monthly Account Analysis.
  • Maintain a high level of qualified in-person calling activity, completing responses to client or prospect request for proposal, and general sales activity, primarily for new prospective relationships.
  • Maintain TM Department’s pipeline report and meet with Treasury Management Officer weekly to discuss personal and TM Department’s progression.
  • Monitor and report to responsible areas on performance, usage, and income/cost on all TM services.
  • Develop an understanding of the competitors’ products and positioning within their assigned market(s).
  • Travel to and within assigned market(s) to meet internal and external customer needs, including initial support and product training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or related field preferred.
  • Experience in banking or related field of at least 5 years.
  • Proficient computer skills including experience with Windows Applications, MS Office, especially Word and Excel, 10 key and typing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience in TM products, sales and implementation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 10 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
  • Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment.
