Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Event & Engagement Coordinator responsible for the activation, supervision, and execution of all Boise Co-op events and private rentals. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

Event & Private Rental Execution: 

  • Activate, supervise, and execute all Boise Co-op events, including in-store promotions, wine tasting classes and wine dinners, beer and coffee classes, craft classes, cooking classes, vendor demos, and community outreach initiatives. 
  • Manage private event rentals at the UnCorked Wine Bar and Village Classroom ensuring smooth coordination with event hosts, setup, guest assistance, and breakdown. 
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for instructors, attendees, vendors, customers, and staff during events. 
  • Ensure event logistics align with Boise Co-op standards and provide a high-quality customer experience. 
  • Work evenings and weekends as needed to oversee events and private rentals. Expect an average of 2-3 evening commitments each week and 1-2 weekend commitments each month. 
  • Content Capture & Social Media Engagement: 
  • Take photo and video content at all events for use on social media, the website, and promotional materials. 
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure event activations are well-documented and shared. 
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging in all event-related content. 
  • On-Site Vendor & Community Engagement: 
  • Act as the on-the-ground liaison for vendors, partners, and sponsors during events. 
  • Support vendor setup, logistics, and sampling coordination to ensure smooth activation. 
  • Work with nonprofit partners and Round Up recipients during community-focused and/or offsite volunteer events. 
  • Administrative & Marketing Support: 
  • Track event attendance and engagement metrics, providing post-event reports to the Community Engagement Manager. 
  • Assist in developing marketing materials for events, including signage, social media updates, and promotions. 
  • Support internal team communication related to event logistics and execution. 

 

Qualifications and Skills:  

  • 1-2 years of experience in event execution, marketing, or customer engagement. 
  • Strong photography and social media content skills (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok a plus). 
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple event elements at once. 
  • Experience with Eventbrite, Mailchimp, TripleSeat, Facebook Events, and Squarespace is a plus. 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • BA degree in Marketing or other related field preferred; or experience related to marketing and outreach programs and/or communications. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in events, conferences. 
  • Experience in the retail or food & beverage industry a plus.  
  • Design skills a plus.  
  • Familiarity with ECRS, Loyalty Bot, TripleSeat, Eventbrite, Facebook Events, and Squarespace a plus.  

 

Physical Demands: 

Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. 

 

Working Environment: 

Work is performed primarily in a grocery store setting with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions.
