Description

The Manager, Individual Giving is responsible for managing relationships with individual midlevel donors contributing up to $10,000. This role aims to strengthen donor commitment through tailored outreach and strategic engagement, while also supporting volunteer-led fundraising initiatives. This role will play a key role in growing donor contributions and fostering strong, lasting relationships with both current and prospective donors.  This position is a hybrid role based in Philadelphia.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Donor Relationship Management: 
    • Oversee relationships with individual donors contributing up to $10,000, focusing on building personal connections and increasing their engagement with United Way 
    • Develop and execute strategies to grow allocable giving through education on United Way’s initiatives.
  • Volunteer-Led Fundraising: 
    • Create and manage a tracking mechanism for peer-to-peer fundraising efforts. 
    • Support board members and key champions in expanding the donor base by engaging with and leveraging their networks.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: 
    • Plan and implement donor engagement strategies that create opportunities for increased investment. 
    • Leverage board and strategic relationships to achieve fundraising goals.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Relevant certifications in fundraising or nonprofit management are a plus.

Experience: 

  • 5-7 years of experience in fundraising or campaign management, with a focus on individual donor/stakeholder engagement. 
  • Proven success in managing donor relationships and developing tailored outreach strategies.

Skills: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present strategies and engage donors. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously. 
  • Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM systems. Experience with data analysis tools is preferred.

Compensation: $80,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
