Job Description/Responsibilities

  • The mechanic is responsible for supporting the safe, legal, and economical maintenance operation of company and customer aircraft to the highest standards.
  • Reports to Director of Maintenance
  • Coordinates with managers to ensure all aircraft are maintained in accordance with all required scheduled maintenance.
  • Technicians work in a team environment with other technicians. Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on owned and managed fleet, and customer and transient aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data Airworthiness Directives, Service Letters, Service Bulletins and FAA regulations.
  • Ensures that manufacturer maintenance programs are followed in inspecting and repairing all aircraft, including completion of all applicable checklists for the completion of scheduled maintenance.
  • Provide documentation of discrepancies, work performed, labor hours and parts utilized to office staff to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Research and order parts to maintain appropriate inventory of consumable parts. Maintain inventory of parts on hand.
  • Stays up to date on regulatory and industry developments as they pertain to aircraft maintenance and avionics techniques.

Qualifications/Skills

 

  • Special tools are company provided. (While not required, it is desirable that the mechanic possesses a personal set of tools appropriate to the type of aircraft operated by the department.)
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal skills.
  • Great situational awareness, job planning and scheduling.
  • Working knowledge of MS office computer software.
  • Positive can-do team attitude, great communication skills, both written and verbal
