Description and Qualifications

Bartenders will be responsible for providing guests with a memorable dining experience. They will be expected to uphold our highest standards of hospitality by being attentive, professional, and efficient behind the bar at all times. They will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of all products behind the bar. Additionally, they will be responsible for mixing and serving all drinks ordered and mastering the execution of classic and craft cocktails.

A typical bartending shift is as follows: 7:00am-3:00pm, 9:00am-5:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm Weekends are required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Knowledge of a range of cocktails, beverages, and cordials
  • Sets up and breaks down various service areas as required
  • Stocking and upkeep of various inventory points on the property
  • Maintains assigned bar or station to fit guests’ needs
  • Basic knowledge of wine service
  • Carries out specific tasks as assigned by Dining Room Management/Assistants
  • Routinely cleans and maintains bar equipment
  • Routinely cleans bar
  • Knowledge of Blackberry Signature Cocktails and various seasonal beverages/wines
  • Must have good organizational and disciplined skills
  • Must be able to remain calm under high-pressure situations

 

Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.

Must be able to work well with other Team Members and Managers and interact with our guests.

Weekends and holidays are required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-year experience in the beverage area in a fine dining establishment
  • Experience in the service industry and dealing with the general public
  • Need to have or be willing to obtain a TABC server’s permit prior to the start date or end of the grace period

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with guests, team members and managers

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of math

 

REASONING ABILITY

  • Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work long hours and be on feet for a long period of time
  • Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Dining Room, Bar, and Kitchen areas 
  • 5,200 acres of Blackberry Mountain property
