REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Degree in Human Resources Management, or a related field. Relevant experience might be considered in lieu of a degree.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES REQUIRED:
- Preferred PRC, SHRM-CP or PHR certificate
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES & QUALITIES:
- 1-3 years of previous experience in full-cycle recruitment.
- Previous experience working with nonprofit organizations, in any capacity (volunteer, staff, board member).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Ability to organize, meet deadlines and manage complex projects. A self-starter, facilitator, organizer and innovator.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
General office environment. Potential hazards are exposure to eye, back and neck strain, frequent fluctuating temperature changes, constant noise and interruptions. Possible exposure to zoonotic diseases (diseases that can be transmitted from vertebrate animals to people), animal dander and noise.
- Chemical Interaction: A wide variety of cleaners, disinfectants, detergents and medical products are used on a daily basis. Each position at Seattle Humane will likely encounter these chemicals during the routine performance of their duties. Specific instructions will be provided by a SH staff member for the safe and proper use of these chemicals. If there are any questions regarding this information, copies of our chemical MSDS sheets are available for review. If asked to use a product that is unfamiliar, contact your supervisor for proper instructions.
- Work Hours: Normal business working hours, 40 hours a week with occasional evening or weekend hours for meetings or events.
