We are looking to hire a mid- to senior-level geologist to work with our Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Group. In addition to performing and overseeing field work and preparation of technical reports, this individual will help mentor and train junior staff.

 

 

 

 

Additionally, they will have the opportunity to see and gain experience in all aspects of a full-service environmental group including all technical aspects of field work, proposal preparation, phase-level management, subcontractor oversight and preparation of various levels of regulatory and non-regulatory reporting.  This individual will also have the opportunity to participate in and perform all aspects of business development and client care activities based on level of experience. 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Performance and oversight of various aspects of remedial investigation projects in accordance with the PA Act 2 and Storage Tank Programs.   Field documentation, analysis of environmental data, fate and transport analysis, receptor surveys, and technical report writing

  • Conducting and overseeing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments

  • Field supervision and sampling during remediation including excavation, system installation, UST removals, subsurface injections, and operations & maintenance

  • Management of field health and safety

  • Client care and business development

 

 

 

 

Required Experience:

  • BS Degree in Geology or related scientific or technical field

  • Pennsylvania Professional Geologist license or appropriate coursework and experience to sit for PG exam

  • 7+ years of experience in conducting environmental investigations

  • Experience with Pennsylvania Act 2 and Storage Tank regulations

  • Strong oral and written communication skills including technical writing

  • Experience in field sampling of environmental media (soil, water, air, waste)

  • Ability to lift/carry field equipment up to 40 pounds

  • Ability to access remote locations and sites for sampling

  • Familiarity in AutoCad and/or GIS a plus (not required)

  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour Certification preferred
