We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer with a specialization in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing  (MEP).  This individual will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of MEP projects from conception to completion.  As a project engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and ensure the successful delivery of high quality MEP systems is in accordance with industry standards and client needs.  In this role, you will be responsible for providing MEP engineering design and drafting under the supervision of the lead engineer.   In this role, you will have the ability to lead and manage yourself, work within large project teams, and adhere to project schedules and budgets.  The role involves handling minor to intermediate levels of design across various systems, including:

 

Mechanical:

  • Flow diagrams
  • Heat Load Calculations
  • Static Pressure Calculations
  • Equipment sizing
  • Ductwork Sizing

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Performs work involving the application of all conventional aspects of electrical/mechanical/plumbing engineering to the functional area of assignment.
  • Develop detailed engineering designs for MEP systems with project specifications, codes, and standards
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations
  • Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers and other key members to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within overall project designers
  • Stay informed of best practices to ensure MEP systems comply with relevant standards

 

Required experience:

  • 2+ years experience with Mechanical Building systems
  • Experience in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • EIT Preferred
