We are looking to hire a mid-level professional with 6+ years of experience to work with the Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Group to provide quality services to our clients. This position will provide the opportunity to gain experience in, all aspects of a full-service environmental group including all technical aspects of field work, proposal preparation, phase-level management, subcontractor oversight and advanced reporting.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Phase II/III field work site investigation
  • Field supervision and sampling during remediation including excavation, system installation, UST removals, subsurface injections, and operations & maintenance.
  • Supervision of drilling subcontractors and subcontractor oversight.
  • Log soil borings, well installation, soil and groundwater sample collection.
  • Field documentation, analysis of environmental data, technical report writing.
  • Connecticut Transfer Act reporting and filings.
  • Management of field health and safety

Required Experience:

  • BS Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or related scientific or technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience in conducting environmental site assessment investigations.
  • Experience in field sampling of environmental media (soil, water, air, waste).
  • Strong knowledge of Connecticut and Federal environmental regulations, including the CT RSRs, TSCA, SCGD, and Transfer Act, and pending changes/updates.
  • Experience with Phase/Task level management of Phase I,II,III ESA, Remedial Planning, and Remediation, including scheduling, budget tracking, and coordination with subcontractors, client representatives, and stakeholders.
  • Strong technical report writing skills with ability to draw conclusions and recommendations for next steps in achieving applicable site objectives and milestones.
  • Ability to draft proposals that include technical scope and fees.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to access remote locations and sites for sampling.
  • Ability to lift/carry field equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity in AutoCad and/or GIS preferred.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour Certification preferred.
  • Flexibility to travel, when needed, to support regional office objectives and project needs.
