This position

This position tracks daily period-by-period attendance of students and provides continued coverage of the student health center by monitoring ill students until a parent/guardian arrives or student returns to class. This position may also be called upon to perform light office and organizational work for Co-Curricular program directors as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Track daily period-by period attendance of students and assist in the preparation of a variety of attendance reports
  • Process and verify student absence information from teachers
  • Make parent phone calls regarding student absences
  • Maintain accurate daily attendance records for emergency purposes
  • Manage the process for sign-in/sign-out records and issue tardy slips
  • Monitor ill students until a parent/guardian arrives or student returns to class
  • Administer first aid as needed for minor injuries. Take ill student’s temperature when appropriate
  • Ensure safe storage of student medication along with proper authorization forms
  • Ensure all student emergency information is up to date
  • Perform a variety of clerical work, procuring supplies and interfacing within and outside of department

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor degree a plus
  • Familiar with technology, including Google Workplace/Apps and Microsoft Office
  • CPR/First Aid Certified

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual
  • Experience with school administrative software
