Notre Dame High School, San Jose is the center for women’s leadership in Silicon Valley and has provided an exceptional Catholic college preparatory education for young women since 1851. The Program

 

The Campus Ministry and Religious Studies cohort provides essential programming and curriculum in student formation that promotes a Catholic in the 21st century commitment to spiritual discernment, multi-faith dialogue, and justice advocacy.

Through Notre Dame’s Education for Justice and Leadership initiative, Campus Ministry team members develop deliberate pastoral connections to accompany diverse students and partner in an integrated design for curriculum and program across a variety of departments to develop women of impact.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead service and justice programs, including community service learning and justice education/advocacy
  • Provide formation and pastoral support for students and adults
  • Oversee student progress and achievement of community service learning goals
  • Foster relationships with students, families, colleagues, community partners, and networks
  • Support all aspects of Mission and Ministry initiatives and Campus Ministry programs as needed
  • Serve as a teacher for religious studies or mentoring program, as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Practicing Catholic
  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, education, or a justice related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Previous experience in campus/youth ministry, education, and/or non-profit/social service programming
  • Background in Catholic social teaching and a variety of social and environmental justice issues

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in advocacy, community organizing, justice education, and/or immersions
  • Experience with adolescent spirituality, women’s leadership, equity/inclusion, and interfaith dialogue preferred. High school classroom teaching preferred

  • 2024-25 academic year
