EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Must complete the Bear River Casino dealing class and pass an audition on Blackjack, Spanish 21, Roulette, and/or Poker.
- Experienced dealers must pass an audition on Blackjack, Spanish 21, Roulette, and/or Poker.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
COMPUTER OPERATIONS
- Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
- Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
- Ability to see color and hear in a loud environment.
- Ability to work late with mental clarity.
- Must be able to work standing for up to 3 hours at a time.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud with flashing lights.
This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state of the art filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the environment. Employee smoking is only permitted in designated employee areas during working hours.
