Sales Development Representative
The Art of Education University (AOEU) is seeking a Sales Development Representative who will work to identify potential customers using proven prospecting and qualifying techniques to support new business sales. Your main role will be to set up key stakeholder meetings for the sales managers by initiating the first outreach and developing relationships with potential customers.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience developing leads from marketing campaigns, cold calls, emails and other outbound techniques. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers in order to introduce them to the sales manager. POSITION DETAILS
Structured as a remote full-time, salaried exempt position. This position will report to the Director of Enterprise Sales.
We have been a 100% remote company since the beginning! This position is eligible to remote work from the following locations: USA.

The Details
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Identify and engage potential customers in meaningful, entry-level discussions regarding their needs and goals that will result in meeting opportunities for the sales managers
- Manage multiple lead flows simultaneously to in order to produce meeting opportunities for sales managers
- Deliver on weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive business development plans that supports sales managers
- Assists with the ad-hoc selling activities/needs across all sales territories as available
- Attend certain education conferences to create sales opportunities in the form of leads for sales managers
- Assists in evaluating market trends, education legislation, and competitive information that affect current and future revenues
- Drive selling activities across all market segments
- Travel up to 5% of the time

- Experience with Hubspot CRM software and Google Suite preferred

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
EXPERIENCE
- Enterprise or B2B complex sales experience preferred but not required
- Enterprise software sales experience, preferably in K-12 curriculum and professional learning software platforms preferred but not required
- Demonstrated experience working with a variety of technology and technology platforms
- Hubspot CRM knowledge is a BIG plus
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to view computer screens for significant periods of time. The Art of Education University is an online university therefore 95-98% of one’s time will be on or using technology.
- Ability to use a laptop keyboard with accuracy.
- Ability to hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like.

COMPENSATION
Compensation is commensurate with experience and market. We encourage you to discuss your compensation requirements early in the process.
The Process
For most roles, the process is as follows:
- Step 1: ~30 minute phone interview with hiring manager
- Step 2: Round 2 packet & Interview
- Given that AOEU is 100% remote, this step is intended to see how you might work through some of the daily tasks, responsibilities, and challenges that could arise in this role. You will be given a prompt and be asked to complete an assignment which will then be used to guide a ~1 hour follow-up Zoom interview with 1-2 stakeholders. The intention is for you to get a sense of the role and give us an opportunity to see your skills in action. Your answers will not be used for any other purposes beyond evaluating your candidacy.
- Step 3: Follow-up interview
- For certain managerial or high-collaboration roles, you may be asked to participate in an additional Zoom interview.
