Description

Starting Rate: $15.83 an hour + tips

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Monitor work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms in the lodging facility.
  2. Will be responsible for assigning duties, inspecting work, investigating complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and taking corrective action.
  3. Train new employees, and recommend dismissals.
  4. To ensure that guest room corridors are clean.
  5. Document any deficiencies, including mechanical and electrical problems from the guests rooms and report to the Hotel Manager
  6. Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  7. Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude toward guests and staff.
  8. The lead will be part of the housekeeping team.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED.

 

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of two to four years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed. You must possess knowledge of procedures for providing top-notch customer and personal services, including conducting a customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction. Ability to get members of the staff work together to accomplish task a must.

 

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Strength to move up to 50lbs at a time. Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum of 8 hours and maneuver in or outside the casino. Visual acuity to observe and react to handle customer complaints or questions. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to bend, kneel, twist and stretch/reach above head. Have good dexterity in fingers

.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: We maintain an alcohol/drug-free workplace. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and perform in casino operations containing smoke and second hand smoke with high noise level and bright lights. Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

 

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

To succeed in the position of housekeeping lead,, you must be able to coordinate rooms to be cleaned with prospective check-out or discharges to prepare work assignments;

Make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operations; Prepare reports concerning room occupancy, obtain and monitor the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do housekeeping work.
