Description

Starting Rate: $14.27 an hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Takes part in daily, cycle, and month end inventory.
  2. Process requisition, transfers and prepare fill orders for distribution.
  3. Inputs data to applicable inventory/purchasing software.
  4. Performs daily recaps and generates assigned reports.
  5. Adheres to warehouse standard operating procedure manual for warehouse department.
  6. Monitors inventory levels and manages these assets to achieve appropriate stock levels and ordering schedules.
  7. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  8. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper, purchasing department to rectify damages and shortages. Routes and delivers items to departments and or appropriate storage locations in a timely and efficient fashion.
  9. Operates tier-lift truck, fork lift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area. May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
  10. Assigns bar codes/item numbers/date stickers to all merchandise received.
  11. Responsible for processing merchandise receipts, requisitions, and transfers in Stratton Warren.
  12. Responsible for the maintenance and filing of documentation supporting shipping and receiving transactions.
  13. Assists in preparing & filling orders for distribution as needed.
  14. Adheres to warehouse standard operating procedure manual for warehouse department.

  • Experience with fork lift or ability to obtain certification
  • Effective oral and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment.

 

EXPERIENCE: One year related warehouse/receiving experience required, preferably in a hotel/casino environment. Basic understanding of computerized inventory/purchasing systems is required, Stratton Warren or similar purchasing/inventory system experience preferred.

 

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license. Must have and maintain valid state-issued operator driver’s license.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to maneuver in the casino, visual acuity to observe and react to handle customer questions and complaints. Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for minimal of 7 1\2 hours per day. Have good dexterity in fingers. Must be able to stretch, bend, twist, reach, and kneel and climb ladders. Must be able to read, write and speak basic English. Must be able to lift 50 plus pounds. Push or pull a flatbed cart weighing up to 300lbs

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indigo Sky Casino maintains an alcohol/drug-free workplace. Work in casino operations containing second hand smoke, high noise level and bright lights. Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to use all equipment associated with the position including manual and powered pallet jack, fork lift, hand truck, cart, and electronic scale.
