Benefits Specialist

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Processing enrollments, Cobra, terminations, changes beneficiaries.
2. Overseeing the benefit enrollment process
3. Resolving employee issues with benefits administrators and insurance providers
4. Assisting the employees in enrolling in dental, vision, and medical insurance plans
5. Assisting the employees in enrolling in retirement savings plan
6. Provide new hires with explanations of benefits and instructing them on enrollment and fulfillment procedures
7. Consulting with employees about eligibility and other pertinent issues
8. Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files and updating of employee payroll records.
9. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package
10. Implement and maintain group benefits database.
11. Reviewing monthly benefit payroll deductions
12. Acting as point of contact the insurance providers and the organization
13. Assisting HR and payroll departments as and when required
14. Ensuring that the firm’s benefits policy is compliant with the set law and regulations

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administrator or Similar

EXPERIENCE: Proven work experience as a Benefits Coordinator, Benefits Specialist or a related position.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to maneuver in the casino and routinely lift up 15 pounds. Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to bend, kneel, twist and stretch/reach above head. Have good dexterity in fingers

WORK ENVIRONMENT: We maintain an alcohol/drug-free workplace. Work in casino operations containing second hand smoke with high noise level and bright lights. Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
