Food Expeditor

Starting Rate: $12.91 an hour + tips

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Exceptional communication and guest service to both internal and external guests a must. Exceptional organizational skills. This includes verbal and written communications. Be a team player by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with coworkers and management. Must have enjoy working in a fast paced environment. Comply with all food service policies & procedures as well as company and departmental policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Plan and manage order flow
2. Serve as a contact point for the kitchen and wait staff
3. Control and oversee dishes before leaving the kitchen
4. Complete all work assignments and follow all instructions provided by supervisor or manager.
5. Provide assistance in cleaning activities and keep immediate work area clean at all times.
6. Ensure food and supplies are stocked at all times and maintain cleanliness of all working areas. .
7. Execute a variety of different tasks as needed in accordance with managers/supervisors
8. Keep wait staff informed of any changes coming from the kitchen
9. Pack the to go orders and deliver to host/hostess station
10. Know and follow all policies, procedures, guidelines and standards for each operating area.
11. Attend all department meetings and required training.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE Excellent guest service skills a must. Experience in food and beverage a plus.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license and obtain/maintain Food Handlers License. Must be able to obtain an Oklahoma Able liquor license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires moderate strength including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of dishes/trays weighing up to 25 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work in casino operations containing second hand smoke, high noise level and bright/flashing lights. Also requires work in food service areas, front of the house restaurants and banquet facilities, which may be hot, cold or damp. Indigo Sky Casino maintains an alcohol/drug-free workplace. Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
