Job Requirements
The ideal candidate loves infants/children and understands children’s developmental needs and interests.
Candidate must be 18 years of age with:
• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
• Understanding of child development.
• High energy.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification. (preferred but not required)
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Bilingual: English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
• Creating a safe and nurturing environment where infants/children can play, learn, and grow.
• Ensuring all safety and security protocols are followed.
• Working with staff and infants/children to develop small and large group learning experiences that    Â
  encourage experimentation, creativity, exploration, problem solving, cooperation, socialization   Â
  and decision-making.
• Communicating regularly with parents/families, sharing children’s achievements
Physical Demands
• Must adhere to all CT State guidelines and ACES International Preschool and Childcare Center    Â
 policies and procedures regarding immunizations, physical exam, and required health and
 safety training such as CPR, First Aid, and Administration of Medications, as well as all
 Covid-19 related guidelines as revised due to pandemic conditions and response.
• Must have the physical ability to participate indoor and outdoor activities that may include   Â
 lifting, moving or holding children from 20-60 pounds as well as walking, squatting, climbing
 and sitting on the floor for long periods of time.
• Must be able to maintain mental and physical alertness and respond quickly to emergency
 situations.
