Description

ACES seeks an innovative leader to serve as the Assistant Director of AI Services and Product Development. This role will guide the design, piloting, and scaling of AI-driven solutions to support district and school leaders, while fostering new revenue streams through technology and innovation. The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, collaborative, and committed to leveraging AI for educational transformation.

10 years’ experience in education or a related field; Master’s degree required. Connecticut Intermediate Administrator Certificate (092) preferred.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with AI consultants and vendors to develop and prototype AI services for educators and staff.
  • Recruit and engage district and school leaders in piloting AI prototypes and refine services based on data and feedback.
  • Develop new passive revenue streams to support educators, students, and families.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate AI tools into professional learning and district leadership practices.
  • Write and publish research findings and best practices on AI’s impact in education.
  • Work closely with the Director of PDSI to align AI services with the division’s strategic goals.
  • Monitor emerging trends in AI and education to identify opportunities for service expansion.

Knowledge of:

  • Needs and priorities of districts, programs, and community stakeholders
  • AI technologies and their applications in education.
  • Leadership and equity in education, with demonstrated expertise in integrating transformative practices
  • Professional learning, curriculum development, school improvement, and strategic planning, to support the development of new revenue streams
  • Educational leadership and administration
  • Data analysis and pilot program evaluation

Skills in:

  • Prototyping and scaling technology and program solutions
  • Engaging stakeholders and fostering collaboration
  • Writing for academic and professional audiences
  • Developing and implementing emerging tools, professional learning programming, and transformative services in educational settings

Ability to:

  • Stay ahead of trends in AI and its role in education.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with technology vendors and district leaders.
  • Balance innovation with resource constraints.
  • Work effectively in hybrid and dynamic environments.
