ACES at Chase, a Magnet Schools of America School of Excellence, seeks a dedicated and certified School Social Worker to provide comprehensive social and emotional support to our middle and high school students, helping them achieve academic and personal success. This role involves providing counseling, crisis intervention, and proactive social-emotional learning initiatives. The School Social Worker will work in partnership with school staff, families, and external resources, contributing to a safe, supportive school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Direct Student Support: Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges, promoting healthy development and resilience.
- PPT Meetings: Actively participate in PPT meetings, collaborating with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address students’ social and emotional needs.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises, providing immediate support and coordinating with mental health resources as necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and staff to identify students in need of support and integrate social-emotional learning (SEL) into schoolwide practices.
- Family and Community Engagement: Partner with families, offering guidance and connecting them with community resources to support students’ holistic development.
- Referrals and Resources: Identify and refer students and families to mental health providers, community services, and other support networks as needed.
Data Management and Reporting: Maintain detailed, confidential records of student interactions and prepare reports as required to inform school improvement efforts and student progress.
