General Job Brief:
Leadership and development of the Women’s Flag Football program, including initial marketing, promotion and recruitment. Also includes day-to-day operations, continued recruitment and roster management, practice planning, scheduling, academic accountability, intentional faith integration, assistant coach development, and fundraising.
This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.
Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a culture of faith, influence, relationships, and excellence.
- Meet initial recruitment goals to help establish the new program.
- Effectively market and promote the new program in the surrounding community.
- Day-to-day operations of the program.
- Assistant coach development and mentorship.
- Practice and training preparation.
- Game day preparation and scheduling.
- Academic accountability and understanding of program eligibility.
- Team community service opportunities.
- Fundraising initiatives in alignment with other department programs.
- Effective roster management to solidify the continued success of the program.
- Provides spiritual guidance, prayer, and support for the team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Athletic Administrative responsibilities that serve the department, dependent on the candidate’s strengths and experiences.
- Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed and not necessarily mentioned in this description, will be expected.
- Commitment to the University’s faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.
- Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
- The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred)
Demonstrated success as a coach.
Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University
Working Conditions:
General Women’s Flag Football environment.
Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks.
Meeting with student-athletes as needed.
Travel to competition and recruitment.
