The Administrative / Field Assistant provides clerical and field support to the Osage Nation Historic Preservation Officer and department. Performs work assigned by the THPO to fulfill the objectives to be achieved, deadlines, and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Associates’ Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • At least 2 years’ experience in office environment
  • Some knowledge of and interest in Osage cultural resource management
  • Must be able to assist Director in fieldwork as needed
  • Must be able to conduct field work in all types of weather conditions
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, kneel, bend at the waist and reach above the shoulders
  • Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Requires a high level of problem solving skills
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs and FileMaker Pro
  • Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
  • Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions and ability to travel overnight if necessary
  • Must have a clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
