Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Background and some work experience in custodial building maintenance. Familiarity with grounds keeping and equipment.
Knowledge and Ability:
- Understanding of grounds keeping and maintenance of landscaped areas.
- Knowledge of approved and current practices used in the maintenance of buildings.
- Working knowledge in the following fields: electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, heating, boiler and air handlers and their controls, and refrigeration equipment.
- Knowledge of safety factors as they pertain to a zoo facility.
- Ability to follow written and oral reports.
- Ability to be professional, respectful, accountable, innovative, to follow safety procedures, and be equitable to both internal and external customers.
- Requires Class "D" driver's license.
